Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work with young people to make a positive difference in their lives. You must have passion and enthusiasm for having fun with, being creative with and listening to young people. You will have the opportunity to develop your career in working with young people through a nationally recognised level 3 qualification.

Job purpose: Deliver group-based activities for children and young people aged 13-24 in East Surrey which focus on supporting emotional wellbeing and promoting good mental health. Assist in the implementation of the WAVES (Wellbeing, Awareness and Voice for East Surrey) mental health drop-in support youth sessions and other school-related projects associated with WAVES (age range 13-18). Assist in running the Step Forward mental health drop-in sessions for young adults (age range 17-24). Support a range holiday diversionary activities programme across East Surrey.

Hours of work:  A full-time working week would be Monday to Friday 10am-6pm.  Full-time, part-time and sessional work roles are available, 

Location: Tadworth or Redhill, working across East Surrey

Salary / pay rate: £22,440 - £24,310 per annum (full-time) depending on experience. For part-time and sessional work the hourly rate would be £12.33 - £13.36

Annual leave: 5 weeks per annum plus bank holidays. (Pro-rata for part time). The holiday year runs from 1 April to 31 March each year.
