The role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our growing team, to help own and drive new business activity from specific customer segments focussed on SME financing including Corporate Finance and capital raising advisers, corporate brokers, Investment Banks, and other private markets ecosystem parties.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in the private markets industry ideally in a client facing, consultative or sales role with a proven track record of high sales performance. As a growing team, the successful candidate will have the ability to drive the growth of the business.

What you’ll do
● Own the entire sales lifecycle for the Institutional customer, ranging from financial intermediaries including Investment Banks, Corporate Brokers and Corporate Finance Advisers
● Successfully deliver Globacap’s value proposition to each institutional customer segment, demonstrating how Globacap’s technology can optimise their private markets workstream.
● Become subject matter expert in designated target customer segment and work with Marketing team deliver tailored collateral
● Drive thought leadership, working with Marketing to enhance our brand positioning
● Leverage social media to engage with your network of Institutions globally
● Own your pipeline management and reporting of performance indicators, conversion metrics and revenue forecasting
● Speak at and moderate events both online and in-person if required
● Customer advocate; shaping the development of our product and helping prioritise roadmap
You
Essential Skills and Experience:
● Proven extensive experience in a business development, client relationship or sales role selling SaaS technology or investment products to institutional/enterprise clients
●. FINRA Licences 7 and 63 required
● Previous experience in a corporate broking, investor relations, corporate finance Equity/Debt Origination, or Investment Banking role preferred
● Working knowledge of equity, debt and fund capital raising processes, structures and market participants and related transactions
● Knowledge of sales methodologies such as Sandler, MEDDIC, Challenger etc. preferred
● Familiar with tools such as Salesforce and Salesloft
● Knowledge of the private capital markets domain with an understanding and working knowledge of how private companies can raise capital and how company cap table dynamics work
● Have an existing network of potential clients/contacts across investment banking, corporate finance advisers, private equity, family offices, asset managers or securities firms
● You will have a thirst for knowledge; constantly striving for self-improvement and feedback
● An effective listener with a high emotional quotient; discovering client needs through structured questioning and understanding verbal and non-verbal responses.
● Acting as a consultant to our clients, finding specific solutions to their needs.
