We are seeking a pro-active and detail driven Accounts Associate to support the accurate, timely, and efficient processing of financial transactions. Reporting into the wider finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining well structured financial records, financial controls and supporting the preparation of key financial information that enables confident business decision making. Acting as a key link between internal teams, suppliers and customers, you will ensure that financial data is processed correctly and queries are resolved promptly. You will work collaboratively across the organisation to provide clear and accurate information.
What You’ll do
· Process purchase invoices, sales invoices, payments and receipts accurately and on time
· Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, customers and internal teams, resolving invoice and payment queries promptly
· Support month end activities, including preparing accruals and prepayments
· Prepare and support supplier payment runs, ensuring all payment details are complete and correct
· Assist with VAT returns and statutory submissions, ensuring adherence to financial regulations
· Maintain organised, accurate and compliant financial records in line with audit and statutory requirements
Skills & Experience
· AAT Level 3 or above qualification (or working towards)
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
· Experience using accounting software such as Sage
· Experience working with purchase ledger and/or sales ledger
· Confident working with data, with the ability to interpret financial information
· Previous experience in an accounts or finance assistant role
