Job description

Title of Post: Relief Care Worker (This is a Zero hours contract and work is on an 'as and when required' basis). This gives flexibility to work the hours that suit around existing commitments.

The shifts can vary between morning shifts, late shifts, short or long shifts. Don't let anything stop you from applying!

General Responsibilities will include:

  • Personal care, including assisting in washing, dressing, undressing, using the toilet, changing sanitary products, bathing and so on
  • Cooking and serving meals to residents, assisting with feeding where necessary.
  • Administer high quality and person-centred care to adults with a variety of learning disabilities ensuring their wellbeing at all times.
  • Assist with daily activities according to the wishes and needs of the resident, including transporting and accompanying them to health appointments.
  • Count and administer medication and contributing to strict record keeping
  • Provide care for residents on outings and holidays on a one to one or group basis
  • Contributes towards assessments, care plans and attends resident reviews when required.
  • Works towards achieving SVQ3 in line with SSSC qualification and registration requirements

This post will require PVG membership and SSSC registration.
