MSF LOGISTIQUE&MSF SUPPLY ARE LOOKING FOR AN « IT Architect » - (H/F/X)

This position is created as part of a project to change the supply chain management tools used by the Médecins sans Frontières (MSF) European supply centers (ESCs): MSF Logistique - MSFL (Mérignac and Dubai sites), and MSF Supply-MSFS (Brussels and Kenya sites). These tools are at least the OMS (Order Management System) and WMS (Warehouse Management System) of these 2 structures.

This project is also part of an initiative to centralize and rationalize supply chain management within the MSF movement (5 headquarters, 3 logistics centers, 70+ countries of operation).

It is also an opportunity to implement the objectives of simplifying and mutualizing the IS architecture of these 2 structures.

The project is organized in phases. In 2023 takes place the selection and assessment process on 30 supply chain software providers. In September, this list will be shortened to a dozen. The objective is, by the end of 2023, to have determined the software architecture target for both ESCs.

OBJECTIVES :

 The information systems architect provides technical assessment on the solutions presented by the software providers (identification of strengths, weaknesses, risks, impacts, cost) until the end of the selection and assessment phase.  To do so, he/she communicates constantly with existing IT/IS teams in the ESCs to ensure alignment, awareness, and adoption.

He/she will determine and document the target architecture of applications in relation to the evolution and mutualization objectives of both structures, as well as the roadmap and stages to achieve it.

He/she collaborates with project management and the business lead(s) to ensure that the target architecture meets the business objectives.

MISSIONS/RESPONSABILITIES :

The 2 main missions of the business architect are as follows :

Design of the Information Systems

• Builds the functional and technical target mapping of the 2 structures' information systems, in line with the organization's strategy.
• Designs and proposes scenarios for the evolution and simplification of the information system architecture.
• Works closely with both IT/IS teams. Ensures communication and adoption on the strategy and choices made in the project, the impact on existing Information Systems and the changes underway.

 Alignment with management and operational teams

• Promotes the design of the new information system to business departments, sponsors and, more broadly, to all stakeholders, through consulting and communication activities.
• Listens carefully to internal and external customers, clarifying their needs. Manages relations with all stakeholders to ensure that the solution is in line with business requirements.
• Participates in the definition of deployment scenarios and associated risk analysis.

To carry out these 2 main missions, the information systems architect mobilizes a wide range of knowledge and expertise in new technologies, while demonstrating a strong understanding of the activity of the 2 structures to envisage and formulate solutions.

PROFILE&SKILLS REQUESTED :

Education and/or expected experience :

·       Engineer with experience on important successful IT transformation projects software, ideally as IS urbanist and/or in the supply chain area.

 Knowledge and skills :

·       Architecture and urbanization of information systems

·       Project management

·       Fluency in English&French (written and spoken)
