Description

This is a 4 bed children's residential home, offering 52 week care in a warm, homely environment. It is situated in an established residential area. The home prides itself on care and support for children with learning and physical disabilities and associated behaviours. The home prides itself on working with families and professionals, to provide opportunities for learning, increasing independence and more importantly FUN.

You will be working Early shifts, late shifts, long days and the rota does include alternate weekends. You will assist the management team in maintaining a safe and enabling environment that provides positive experiences to children and young people.

Qualifications / Experience

Successful candidates will need to have or be willing to work towards:

  • Level 3/4 Diploma for Residential Childcare or Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce (Social Care Pathway)
  • Ideally you will also have experience of working with children and young people with moderate to severe learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities, Autism, ADHD, sensory impairment, and associated behavioural challenges and/or complex care needs, however we will consider candidates from EBD residential settings also.
