Description
Overview:
We are offering an exciting career opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to developing complex automation solutions for our global multinational customer base. The successful candidate will design and develop innovative automation solutions, collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to create the mechanical elements of our automation machines.
Key responsibilities:
• Design and develop automated equipment from concept to delivery, ensuring all customer requirements are met.
• Create 3D and 2D designs and details using Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks.
• Conduct component selection, engineering calculations, and design analysis to optimize solutions.
• Create and manage project documentation, ensuring technical accuracy and control.
• Drive project delivery within defined scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
• Review and understand project requirements, ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
• Plan and prioritize work across multiple projects to ensure timely completion.
• Lead and participate in internal and external workshops, reviews, and meetings, presenting design information and project updates clearly and effectively.
• Collaborate across departments to generate shared ownership of project delivery and review.
• Share knowledge and work on problem-solving with project teams.
• Innovate by delivering optimal solutions, fostering a safe environment for idea generation, and championing valuable technologies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department and across the business.
• Travel to customer and vendor sites, as well as events, in Ireland and beyond.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in Mechanical Design/Engineering.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or equivalent design software.
• Full Driver’s License.
• Experience in the development of automated equipment.
• Experience in bespoke project delivery.
