Description
City of Woodburn is looking for a part-time Yoga Instructor to provide instruction in group Yoga classes. Duties include creating and administering the class curriculum; providing hands-on demonstration of techniques directly related to the course being taught; ensuring classroom management; providing individualized instruction while maintaining a positive classroom environment; demonstrating or explaining correct exercise techniques to minimize injuries and improve fitness; providing alternative exercises during workouts or classes for different levels of fitness and skill; and monitoring participants' progress and adapt programs as needed.
High School degree or G.E.D. and one or more years of experience teaching in the field in which incumbent will instruct or in another teaching environment that shows ability to lead a class and instruct, and 200-hour yoga certifications ( including but not limited to YogaWorks, Embrace Yoga DC, Vinyasa Yoga, One Breath of Yoga), or an equivalent combination of training and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Successful candidate must pass the pre-employment background check. Bilingual (English/Spanish and/or English/Russian) strongly desired.
