Description
Role & Responsibilities
In this role, you will coordinate all operational activities within the Returns Department, ensuring the smooth movement, tracking, and reconciliation of technical film‑lighting equipment across sub‑hire, returns, and transfer processes. You will work closely with internal teams, external suppliers, and international partners to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and compliance throughout the equipment lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include managing sub‑hire processes, supporting the returns workflow, overseeing goods‑in activity, coordinating intercompany transfers, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate system records. You will play a key role in protecting high‑value assets, maintaining operational flow, and supporting cross‑department collaboration to ensure timely and accurate equipment movement.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge across more than 4,000 film‑lighting product lines, with a solid understanding of equipment applications and accessory variations. They will be proficient in RT Pro—particularly the sub‑hire modules—and be an advanced Excel user with high overall IT literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft systems and experience resolving basic network or SQL database issues. They will possess an excellent understanding of the UK lighting industry and the specialist suppliers within it, along with strong knowledge of internal operational tracking processes. Confident communication skills are essential, as the role requires providing clear guidance, receiving instructions effectively, and producing accurate reports for sales and finance that detail the live status of all sub‑hires. The successful candidate will be self‑motivated, highly organised, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while working under pressure to meet challenging deadlines. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required is also essential.
What’s on offer
This is a full-time role based on a 40-hour working week, operating on a rotating shift basis between 7:00am and 8:00pm, which includes some weekend work. We offer a competitive salary with the opportunity to earn regular overtime. Our benefits package includes 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, private health insurance, a great pension scheme, life insurance and an annual discretionary bonus scheme.
