The Role:

Reporting to the Logistics & Distribution manager  and working closely with our supply chain and operations team, you will have responsibility the Intake, storage, rotation of materials, goods, and products in the right location to feed the business’s operational demand, and ensuring the safe and efficient receipt, storage of materials in the correct place according to specific requirements of the goods.

In your new role you will build strong supplier and customer partnerships whilst working and liaising with other departments within the business.

Your Duties:

·         Running of the specific department on a daily, weekly and monthly basis

·         Managing the stores & Intake team including Staff rota management, holiday and sick, cover- Establish Skills GAP’s and propose oversee development required.

·         Stock Management and rotation, waste and damage limitation.

·         Leading and ensuring the team achieve performance KPI’s and targets on time and in full whilst ensuring full compliance with all operational standards and specifications

·         Taking delivery of all stock ensuring accuracy of deliveries and delivery dockets reporting all discrepancies and/or missing items in a timely manner to relevant departments.

·         Training records and upskilling for all equipment use for staff within the warehouse function.

·         Engage and motivate all colleagues to always be their best to deliver excellent standards of service to our customers

·         Set clear goals, objectives, pace and develop a site performance improvement plan linked to the overall Logistics strategy to drive performance.

·         3rd party warehousing oversight and management.

·         Ensure MHE is serviceable and in good condition and liaise with maintenance to ensure defects are reported and rectified without delay in a safe manner. 

·         Implement new systems and methods of work, IT and raise the standards within the scope of the role.

 

Desired Criteria:

·         Demonstrable experience in a food manufacturing environment

·         Experience of operation and implementation of WMS .

·         Experience in effective stores and warehouse management.

·         Strong project management skills

Strong leadership skills and managing a team
