Relief Chef – Little Harvard Childcare

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Relief Chef to support our Kildare and North Dublin creches as needed. This role involves travelling between our centres to provide kitchen support where needed. This is a flexible, weekday role (Monday–Friday, no evenings or weekends).

About the Role:
As a Relief Chef, you will prepare large quantities of nutritious, child-friendly meals while following set menus and food safety standards to ensure consistency and quality across centres.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare large batches of healthy meals and snacks for children.

• Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in the kitchen.

• Follow all allergen, dietary, and food safety guidelines.

• Assist with stock checks, ordering, and deliveries.

• Collaborate with Centre Managers to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Requirements:

• Experience cooking for large groups or in catering environments.

• Minimum HACCP Level 2 certification.

• Full driving licence and own transport (essential) and flexibility to travel between centres.

• Strong organisational skills and a passion for preparing healthy meals for children.

20-25h (negotiable)

Location:

Kildare and North Dublin – covering multiple creches as required.
