Description

The SCADA Software Engineer will be working as part of a fast-growing, dynamic team and will play a critical role representing Hanley Energy in our business model. This person will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, ensuring 100% up-time, maintaining EPMS projects, and software applications that support data center operations. 

SCADA Software Engineer Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing software for control systems, including programming languages such as C++, Java, Python and the Expression Language.
• Creating and maintaining SQL Databases. 
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation and user manuals.
• Collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to develop system requirements and specifications.
• Troubleshooting and debugging software to ensure that it meets system requirements.
• Implementing and testing software changes and updates.
• Participating in software development life cycle (SDLC) processes, such as agile or waterfall, and following industry best practices.
• Providing technical support to customers and end-users.
• Staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Develop software applications that support data center operations, such as network management, server provisioning, and monitoring tools.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in computer science or similar discipline
• Experience working with control systems and knowledge of industry standards, such as PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA.
• Experience in developing and maintaining Ignition Inductive Automation projects. 
• Expert in EPMS and Building Management Systems
• Proficiency in Scripting/Programming languages such as Python and the Expression Language.
• Experience with Modbus, BACnet, IEC61850, OPC UA, and/or SNMP communication protocols.
