Description
The SCADA Software Engineer will be working as part of a fast-growing, dynamic team and will play a critical role representing Hanley Energy in our business model. This person will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, ensuring 100% up-time, maintaining EPMS projects, and software applications that support data center operations.
SCADA Software Engineer Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing software for control systems, including programming languages such as C++, Java, Python and the Expression Language.
- Creating and maintaining SQL Databases.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation and user manuals.
- Collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to develop system requirements and specifications.
- Troubleshooting and debugging software to ensure that it meets system requirements.
- Implementing and testing software changes and updates.
- Participating in software development life cycle (SDLC) processes, such as agile or waterfall, and following industry best practices.
- Providing technical support to customers and end-users.
- Staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Develop software applications that support data center operations, such as network management, server provisioning, and monitoring tools.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in computer science or similar discipline
- Experience working with control systems and knowledge of industry standards, such as PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA.
- Experience in developing and maintaining Ignition Inductive Automation projects.
- Expert in EPMS and Building Management Systems
- Proficiency in Scripting/Programming languages such as Python and the Expression Language.
- Experience with Modbus, BACnet, IEC61850, OPC UA, and/or SNMP communication protocols.
