Purchasing Administrator – Up to 9 Month Fixed Term

Overview of the role
This role is responsible for ensuring service provider compliance within group standards, managing Soft Facility suppliers and contracts, and conducting indirect spend reviews in partnership with Finance
Responsibilities
· Accountable for compliance across the business for service providers and adhering to Group level standards including training and ownership of Chemring Compliance Portal and compliance to the Commercial Policy.
· Conduct indirect spend reviews with Finance, including report creation, investigations into the detail and identifying any trends.
· Responsible for Soft Facility supplier management and performance management. Conducting onboarding, in life reviews and offboarding.
· Accountable for Soft Facility contract management. Leading strategic procurement for Soft Facilities including tendering, negotiation, project management and risk mitigation.
· Responsible for maintaining up to date and relevant knowledge and training standards in line with Company expectations
· Must be an effective communicator, confident working independently and as part of a team across CCM and the Group. Have a leadership attitude and approach to all situations
· Report directly to the Supply Chain and Procurement lead whilst assisting the facilities manager in daily activities.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and/or Experience
· GCSE - Maths, English and Science
· Permitted to work in the UK
· Previously worked in an Administrator role
Desirable Qualifications, Skills and/or Experience
· Previous experience of purchasing.
· Experience with commercial policies including NDA’s, Governance, Bribery and Anti-corruption and Modern Day Slavery.
· Soft Facility Contract management.
This role will be worked Monday-Thursdays 22 hours per week, ideally 09:00am to 15:00pm. The successful candidate will receive a salary of £23,795-£27,364, the pro rata salary will be £13,959.73-£16,053.54 depending on experience.
