We are recruiting for a Disability Leader - Rebound Therapy to join our CYP - Disability Services  team. You will be responsible for planning, leading and delivering Rebound Therapy sessions for children, young people and adults who have a disability or additional needs; assessing and setting achievable targets and outcomes; ensuring the wellbeing benefits of this therapy meets individual needs; ensuring that all safeguarding, regulator and health & safety requirements are being met.

 

This role requires someone with

·         Introduction to safeguarding children and safeguarding adults.

·         Rebound Therapist training completed within 2 years or willingness to complete.

·         Experience of working or living with a CYP and adults with a disability.

·         Child Care/Youth Work level 2 / 3 or equivalent qualification (or working towards)

·         Experience of running physical activities for children and young people and/or adults with disabilities.

·         Handles sensitive information confidentially.

·         Escalates issues appropriately and seeks collaborative solutions.

·         Communicates clearly and appropriately for different audiences, using inclusive language and adapting communication style based on feedback.

·         Experience of positively managing behaviour in various situations.

·         Experience of setting targets and outcome-based work.

·         Experience of completing risk assessments and care planning.

·         Collaborates effectively within a diverse team, values different perspectives and contributes to a positive and inclusive working environment.

PAY:

·         £7,824.18     

 

WORKING HOURS AND WORKING PATTERN:

·         14 hours per week, worked over 2 days per week (to be agreed) 9am-5pm (including a 1-hour unpaid break), but with a possibility to combine this role with the Lifeworks role we are also advertising, to create one full-time (term-time) role.
