Description

The postholder will assist in the provision of specialist palliative care services provided by Jersey Hospice Care (JHC), working as part of the medical team alongside other members of the multidisciplinary team.

The medical care is led by the Lead Consultant in Palliative Medicine and involves working closely with colleagues across secondary and primary care, collaboration is a key component of the role.

Working as part of the medical team within Jersey Hospice Care the post holder will assist in the provision of specialist palliative care across all areas of care, including the in patient unit, the general hospital, community and outpatients as well as contributing to an out-of-hours telephone on-call advice service.

The ideal candidate will hold a Medical Degree, full GMC registration with licence to practice and a member of a recognised medical defence union. A MRCGP, MRCP or equivalent and a Diploma or degree in Palliative Care are desirable.
