Description
IMS Technology Services, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Accountant to assist our team in our growth strategies. The incumbent will report directly to and interact regularly with the Company Controller. Together they will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting critical needs of a $60M dollar privately held Company that operates AV related activities and experiences specializing in Systems Integration and Event Staging. This permanent full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience and grow, while contributing to our company’s financial growth and stability. This position is expected to work from our Garnet Valley Headquarters 5 days a week.

Position Accountabilities and Expectations:
- Assist the Controller in managing all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including the production and review of financial reports and statements, maintenance of accounting records, accounting workflow, monitor financial performance, support closing processes, and develop internal control procedures.
- Perform complex accounting activities to record, analyze, and monitor financial information.· Collaborate with the Company Controller to develop budgets and forecasts for all business units.
- Collaborate with project managers in reviewing job costing for various projects and operational activities.
- Responsible for reconciliation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, and departmental KPI statistical analysis reports monthly.
- Establish and review cost accounting activities for all business units including analysis of integration projects to ensure adherence to policy and procedures.
- Consult with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions as needed.
- Review accounting of multi-state sales tax returns.
- Provide financial analysis for strategic initiatives and collaborate across departments for timely financial information.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Manage internal controls and audit processes to mitigate financial risks and enhance operational efficiency.
What you will bring:
- A minimum of 3-4 years of accounting experience in the disciplines of general accounting and cost accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A master’s degree in a related field or CPA is not required, but a nice to have given the rest of the experience is sound.
- Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of accounting processes (payroll, payables, receivables, banking, expenses, sales tax) and systems that support curiosity and the ability to drive continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of construction-based accounting.
- Strong understanding of public accounting, corporate compliance, and audit requirements of privately held organizations.
- Must be able to work through others to accomplish goals and objectives.
- Proficient in QuickBooks (Desktop Version); Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of Avalara Sales tax software is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative approach to teams.
- Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational, writing and presentation skills.
- High sense of urgency and demonstrated ability to operate in a demanding environment.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

- Experience with Mergers and Acquisitions a plus
