Aurigny Air Services is Guernsey’s flag carrier and one of Europe’s longest-serving regional airlines. We are proud to deliver a safe, reliable, and friendly air service to the people of Guernsey and beyond, travelling across the Channel Islands, the UK, and into Europe.

With the acquisition of further aircraft, we are looking for skilled UK CAA Licensed Aircraft Engineers (A, B1 or B2) to bolster our highly skilled and dedicated Engineering team.

We are offering a rare opportunity to move to our main base and hangar facility on lifestyle-rich Guernsey, or to work from our Southampton line station to provide Part 145 services at SOU and across our network.

🔧 Your Next Role in Aviation Excellence

This is a hands-on opportunity to work on our ATR 72-600 and DHC-6 fleet, playing a vital role in keeping our aircraft safe, compliant, and ready to fly.

You’ll be:

  • Certifying and carrying out aircraft maintenance tasks to company procedures and UK CAA regulation.
  • Leading and supervising our skilled team of un-licenced technicians.
  • Diagnosing faults and ensuring swift, effective repairs for prompt RTS.
  • Working across line and light base maintenance environments, both in our hangar and on the ramp.
  • Prepared to be deployed to our out-stations for ad-hoc AOG recovery.
  • Mentoring the next generation of Engineers.
  • Collaborating with teams across Engineering, Operations, Logistics, and Part M.

🎯 What We’re Looking For

We are looking for competent, motivated and flexible aviation professionals who can contribute to the safe, on-time performance of our busy operation, with the capability to work well as part of an established team of skilled engineers.

You’ll need:

  • A valid UK CAA A, B1.1 or B2 Licence
  • Evidence of six months certifying experience in the last two years.
  • Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Right to work in the UK and hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Must qualify to hold an Airside Identification Card for Guernsey Airport.

Bonus points:

  • ATR 72-212A or DHC-6 type ratings would be ideal, but we will offer type rating courses to promising candidates.
  • Experience working on the ATR72-212A ‘600’ or Twin Otter.
  • Current Human Factors, EWIS, and Fuel Tank Safety certificates.

🌍 Where You’ll Work

Choose the lifestyle that suits you:

  • Guernsey-based: 4-on/4-off, early and late shifts. Other shifts considered by negotiation.
  • UK-based: Working from Southampton airport to offer flexibility to position in Guernsey or airports across the UK as necessary.

💼 What You’ll Get

We value your skills—and reward them:

  • Competitive salary plus shift allowance.
  • Pension scheme and private medical insurance.
  • Relocation support (if applicable).
  • Type rating opportunities.
  • Career progression prospects in a respected airline.
  • A unique chance to live and work in the UK Channel Islands.
