Role & Responsibilities

 This role will be responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of customer orders, from receipt through to dispatch, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality standards throughout. The role will Co-ordinate equipment across departments, liaising with Account Managers, customers, and the transport team to organise vehicle loading and delivery schedules, and maintaining clear communication between all relevant parties. The role involves monitoring order priorities, meeting dispatch deadlines, ensuring all delivery paperwork is complete, and maintaining excellent housekeeping standards in loading areas. A key part of the role is carrying out detailed quality control checks & verifying equipment, packaging, and labelling, ensuring accurate scanning to job numbers, and capturing photographic records of consignments. The Order Co-ordinator will also assist with or lead order fulfilment when required, report and resolve shortages promptly, and ensure smooth handovers between shifts. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, effective workload management, and a positive, team-oriented approach, with flexibility to work overtime and support occasional out-of-hours requirements.

 

What we are looking for

 The ideal candidate will be highly organised, adaptable, and self-motivated, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork. They should have a good understanding of operating systems such as Microsoft Office Suite and possess excellent communication skills, enabling them to build strong, effective working relationships across departments. The ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines is essential, along with a flexible attitude towards working hours, including overtime and occasional weekends, to meet business demands. While experience in the lighting industry is advantageous, it is not essential. Most importantly, the candidate should demonstrate a positive, collaborative attitude and a willingness to support other departments to ensure overall service delivery success.

 

What’s on offer

 This is a full-time role based on a 40-hour working week, operating on a rotating shift basis between 7:00am and 8:00pm, which includes some weekend work.  We offer a competitive salary with the opportunity to earn regular overtime.
