Job Title: Restart Employment Advisor
Location: Manchester, UK
Salary: £28,500 per annum
Due to rapid growth within the business, we’re looking for a Restart Employment Advisor to join our amazing team at The B2W Group! This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic organisation based in Manchester City Centre.
The main role of a Restart Employment Advisor is to support participants who have been out of work for at least 12 months in finding sustainable employment by understanding and supporting individual needs of each participant. This will include working with multiple internal and external stakeholders, to provide tailored support to each participant.
The EA will manage a caseload of participants, ensuring they are supported and challenged appropriately to move towards lasting and meaningful employment. Following a diagnostic assessment, they will work through a comprehensive action plan with the participant to give them additional skills, identify transferrable skills and capabilities and building their confidence to return to sustainable employment.
Main Responsibilities
• Building effective and positive relationships with participants, working with them to identify potential barriers towards work and creating action plans together to overcome these barriers.
• Being the first point of call for participants and giving them knowledge of relevant provisions, as well as supporting with CV writing, interview skills and ways to find and apply to jobs.
• Working with external organisations to support participants with debt concerns, mental health conditions or further career coaching, as well as offering industry training in retail, manufacturing or call centres.
• Being able to plan ahead with participants on a weekly/monthly basis, creating a clear plan and motivating them to reach their goals in a positive way.
• Maintain strong notes on participant records to outline their journey on the program, allowing progress to be easily viewed by yourself, covering colleagues and the participants themselves.
The Ideal Candidate
• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities as well as work towards targets and KPIs.
• Strong communication skills, being able to show empathy to participants, be creative in problem solving and having a strong knowledge of the labour market to give learners the best quality information.
• A positive mindset and a genuine passion to help others.
• Due to the nature of the role, the ability to work full-time in the office is essential.
