In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in shaping the future of educational infrastructure. Your mission will be to unlock opportunities to create innovative and enhanced educational facilities while promoting sustainability and efficiency. Collaborating closely with the Department of Education (DfE) and colleagues from LocatED your responsibilities will include assessing potential projects, conducting feasibility studies, and delivering insightful reports to schools, local authorities, and other stakeholders. Your advice will be instrumental in guiding options and ensuring successful project delivery.
This is a hybrid role which requires you to be based in our London office for 2/3 days a week.
Main duties & responsibilities include:
¡ Supporting the team with feasibility studies, planning assessments and masterplans for complex sites
¡ Helping to prepare outline budgets, development strategies and carrying out planning pre-application work
¡ Providing general estate management advice to schools, Local Authorities and other responsible bodies
¡ Identifying creative options for alternative use of parts of school buildings or school sites, to maximise value and help schools achieve their objectives.
Skills & experience required:
¡ A background in property development and a Chartered Surveyor qualification (MRICS)
¡ Experience advising on complex development projects
¡ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively
¡ A strategic mindset and a passion for innovation in the education sector
¡ The ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
