Description

 Role & Responsibilities

As an Equipment Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our operations. You will lead and support a team of technicians, operatives, and trainees, overseeing all aspects of equipment preparation, quality control, and storage. Working closely with other departments, you’ll make sure every item of equipment meets company standards and is delivered to clients on time and in excellent condition.

Your responsibilities will include supervising daily operations, allocating tasks, and training team members to perform their duties to a high standard. You’ll encourage continuous improvement within the department, maintaining a positive, professional, and safety-focused environment. Communication will be central to your role, as you will liaise with the Equipment Control, Sales, and Inventory teams to resolve stock queries, manage shortages, and ensure smooth equipment flow across all stages of the process.

You will also take an active role in asset management and storage control, developing more efficient systems and processes to improve accuracy and reduce risks. By maintaining strong attention to detail, you’ll ensure all equipment is properly tested, coded, stored, and compliant with company quality measures before leaving the department.

Health and safety are paramount in this position. You will lead by example, promoting a culture of safety and accountability, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, and addressing any concerns promptly. Through effective leadership, organisation, and clear communication, you will help maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance within the equipment department.

What we are looking for

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining the highest standards of quality and service. You’ll be IT literate, with a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with systems such as RT Pro and Microsoft Teams. Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude are essential, along with the ability to stay composed and effective in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll be adaptable, eager to learn, and ready to take on new challenges as the business evolves. Flexibility is key, as occasional overtime and weekend work may be required to meet operational demands. Above all, you’ll demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement in everything you do.

What’s on offer

This is a full-time role based on a 40-hour working week, operating on a rotating shift basis between 7:00am and 8:00pm, which includes some weekend work.  We offer a competitive salary with the opportunity to earn regular overtime. Our benefits package includes 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, private health insurance, a great pension scheme, life insurance and an annual discretionary bonus scheme.
