Description

City of Woodburn Public Library has a paid internship opportunity for a High School student for the summer. The internship will start mid-to-late June, 2024 and have a ten (10) week term, working about 10 hours a week.

Under the guidance of the Librarian, the teen intern will contribute to the design and delivery of a connected learning project. The project will be related to the intern’s areas of interest and aligns with the library’s goals. The intern will be required to spend some time writing and reflecting on their experience. The intern will have the chance to learn more about different area of library work. Some possible tasks include helping with summer reading, helping with summer programs for children, outreach, and helping the library better serve and reach teens.

Our ideal candidate would be bilingual in English and Spanish and entering their junior or senior year of high school.

The wage range will be adjusted to be in line with Oregon minimum wage for July 1, 2024 once determined by the state.
