Description

The Role:

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the National Account Manager will lead business development and account management activities, focusing on acquiring new customers and expanding existing relationships across retail, convenience, and foodservice channels.

As National Account Manager, you will echo the quality, legality, and authenticity of all our values at DELI LITES and give customers the opportunity to achieve their extraordinary results through the passion we have for our people and food.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new national accounts across retail and foodservice.
  • Manage and grow existing customer relationships to maximise revenue and margin.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with existing and new accounts.
  • Collaborate with marketing, NPD, and operations to deliver customer solutions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights.
  • Report on sales performance, forecasts, and KPIs to Chief Commercial Officer and Senior Management Team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in national account management or business development in FMCG, ideally food.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication abilities.
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Willingness to travel across GB as required.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and IT skills.

Desirable

  • Experience working with major UK retailers or foodservice providers.
  • Knowledge of chilled food categories and supply chain dynamics.
  • Experience with European retailers, wholesalers and distributors.
