Barnsley Hospice is seeking a motivated and compassionate Individual Giving Fundraiser to join our Fundraising Team.

About the Role:-

In this rewarding role, you will play a key part in maximising income from our individual giving campaigns, including Legacy, Regular Giving, Lottery and In Memory donations.

You will plan and deliver engaging fundraising campaigns across the region, helping to raise awareness and build long-lasting relationships with supporters. A key focus of the role will be developing excellent supporter stewardship, ensuring supporters feel valued, informed and connected to the work of Barnsley Hospice.

Working closely with our Marketing team, you will help create compelling and compassionate campaigns that inspire people to support the hospice while ensuring all messaging is sensitive and appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Support the development and delivery of fundraising campaigns including Legacy, Regular Giving, Lottery and In Memory donations
  • Help grow the number of supporters contributing through legacy pledges, regular donations and in memory giving
  • Develop and maintain effective supporter journeys to enhance supporter experience and maximise income
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing team to develop inspiring and compassionate campaign messaging
  • Use the hospice CRM system to manage supporter records, track communications and report on campaign performance
  • Represent Barnsley Hospice at community events, networking opportunities and presentations
  • Support the delivery of wider fundraising initiatives and major hospice events when required
  • Ensure all fundraising activity complies with relevant legislation and the Fundraising Regulator Code of Fundraising Practice

Contract Details:-

  • Contract: Permanent
  • Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
  • Salary: £27,510 Per annum
  • Location: Based at Barnsley Hospice

Some flexibility in working hours may be required to support events and community activities.

About You:-

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has at least two years’ experience in individual giving fundraising or a similar role
  • Has a good understanding of legacy giving and gifts in wills in the UK
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Has experience building relationships and stewarding supporters
  • Can manage multiple campaigns and priorities in a busy environment
  • Is highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Is confident analysing campaign data and using insights to improve results
  • Works collaboratively and positively as part of a team
