Sales Development and Events Co-Ordinator

In this role, you will support the Sales team by sourcing, collating and analysing potential prospect data, using a range of media and information sources which will help identify any future business sales decisions and networking opportunities. You will also collaborate with the Marketing team to help produce campaigns for the relevant sales streams and to manage campaign interactions leading to new customer conversations. You will lead the co-ordination of wider sales activities including events and exhibitions.

The Role 

Key accountabilities:

  • Prospect Data Management
    • Maximise accuracy of the CRM prospect database and conduct research to identify key stakeholders
  • Stakeholder Research
    • Utilise online resources such as Companies House, LinkedIn and Fleet News to source and substantiate who the key contacts are and obtain their contact details
    • Carry out telephone enquiries to confirm the contact information is accurate
  • Business Intelligence
    • Identify key information such as fleet size, company's objectives, current conversion partner and fleet replacement cycle
  • Competitor Research
    • Monitor LinkedIn and websites to keep up to date with competitor activity and identify any new business opportunities and potential partnerships
  • Lead Generation
    • Take ownership of identifying new opportunities, working closely with the sales and marketing team to initiate activities that generate new business opportunities
    • Initiate introductions for the sales team and when required arrange appointments or site visits
  • Campaign Management
    • Work with the sales and marketing teams to help produce targeted campaigns
    • Manage sales campaigns, analyse campaign data and present results to the Sales team including follow up activities with interested recipients
  • CRM Management
    • Add all identified/substantiated data onto a prospect information template along with company and contact details and add this onto Monday.com CRM
    • Ensure clear notes are left on Monday.com for the sales team to follow up on
  • Event Management
    • Support the sales and marketing teams with co-ordinating small events (such as industry dinners) including invitation design, hotel reservations, travel details and attendance confirmation
    • Attend industry events to network and generate leads
  • Site Visits
    • Provide support to the sales team to co-ordinate customer visits
  • Tender Administration
    • Support the sales team with the completion of new business tenders

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Experience using a CRM 
  • Ability to develop relationships
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to analyse data and produce reports
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
