An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Corbenic Shop & Café team as a Support Worker. In this role, you will encourage and empower adults with learning disabilities to participate in a variety of shop and café tasks, promoting independence, skill development, and confidence. The Corbenic Shop & Café is one of 10 dynamic workshops that form part of our community initiative, which is dedicated to developing essential work and life skills for our residents.
Located in the heart of Dunkeld, the Corbenic Shop & Café attracts both locals and tourists, offering a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Customers can enjoy wholesome organic soups and light lunches, as well as a delicious range of Barista coffees, pastries, and cakes. Our shop also features a fantastic selection of handcrafted, artisan products, fair trade goods, and freshly baked bread from our on-site Bakery workshop.
The Corbenic Shop provides a unique and inspiring work environment, where the principles of care work are seamlessly combined with hospitality. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, has experience in disability support, and has a passion for working in a shop/café setting. This is a full-time position where you will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, between Monday-Sunday 9am-5pm.
This post will require PVG membership and SSSC registration.
