Description
OBW Technologies is a leading provider of gas detection systems and services in Ireland. We offer a range of solutions for various industries and applications, including fixed and portable gas detectors, calibration and maintenance services and automation software. We are looking for a Business Graduate to join our Supply Chain team and help us continue to deliver high-quality service and support to our internal teams and customers.
Based in the Limerick office, the successful candidate will report to the Logistics Team Lead and support both the purchasing and warehousing functions, gaining hands-on experience in procurement processes, inventory control, and logistics coordination. The successful candidate will be a result driven candidate, with the ability to multitask and prioritise, and have excellent attention to detail. Role and Responsibilities
Purchasing
- Assist in raising and processing purchase orders in line with company procedures.
- Support vendor selection and evaluation processes.
- Monitor supplier performance and delivery schedules.
- Help maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier communications.
- Participate in cost analysis and stock forecasting projects
Warehousing
- Support daily warehouse operations including goods receipt, stock transfers, and dispatches.
- Assist with stock takes, inventory reconciliation, and system updates
- Learn and apply warehouse management system procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers and logistics teams to ensure timely stock availability.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Internship or project experience in supply chain or operations is desirable but not essential.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Effective communicator with a collaborative approach.
- IT proficient, with experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems is a plus but full training will be given
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
