Jersey Hospice Care is looking for a Compassionate Neighbour Coordinator to join our Volunteer Department on a permanent part time (22.5 hours) basis.

The Compassionate Neighbours Coordinator will assist the Volunteers’ Manager in the recruitment, training, supervision, and development of the Compassionate Neighbours volunteers. They will help to encourage referrals to the service from other health and social care providers, from across the hospice and the wider local community. They will carry out assessment visits in vulnerable people’s homes, this will include meeting people living with a terminal illness who maybe feeling lonely and isolated.  The Compassionate Neighbours Coordinator will support the matching of the Community Members to the volunteers. In addition, they will coordinate the delivery of core and role specific training for Compassionate Neighbour volunteers.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience of managing teams and be a skilled administrator. They will be a confident communicator, skilled in the preparation and delivery of presentations.
