- Work with system integrators to ensure full functionality and compliance
- Manage documentation and technical compliance within the LSS commissioning process
- Collaborate daily with customer engineering (Construction & Sustaining), OBW project teams, and cross‑functional partners
This is an excellent role for someone who thrives in a technical, structured, safety‑critical setting.
Key Responsibilities
On‑Site Project Delivery

- Attend and contribute to daily coordination meetings with customer engineering and contractor teams
- Provide technical support to field installation crews on wiring, instrumentation layout, and control panel interfaces
- Carry out system configuration, loop checks, panel communication checks, device verification, and functional testing
Instrumentation & Control Engineering
- Review and interpret wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, P&IDs, I/O lists, and instrumentation schematics
- Assist in developing system architectures, control logic, and cause‑and‑effect matrices
- Configure controllers, logic devices, monitoring systems, and instrumentation networks
- Support troubleshooting, diagnostics, and escalation of complex system issues
Commissioning Support
- Prepare and execute FAT/SAT protocols, commissioning checklists, punchlists, and system test records
- Perform field calibration, detector uploads/updates, alarm testing, and instrumentation verification
- Support commissioning engineers to ensure all safety, compliance, and quality standards are met
Documentation & Compliance
- Produce RAMS and ensure full compliance with all customer and OBW safety procedures
- Oversee documentation control for LSS commissioning, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and audit readiness
- Compile full project handover documentation including: As‑built drawings / Calibration certificates / Commissioning reports / O&M manuals.
- Ensure documentation meets OBW, OEM and customer engineering standards
General
- Work across multiple projects of varying complexity in a fast‑paced semiconductor environment
- Maintain excellent communication and a highly professional presence with customer engineering teams
- Uphold OBW’s commitment to safety, accuracy, and exceptional customer service
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Automation, Mechatronics or similar
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation, controls, wiring, sensors, and system integration
- Experience in complex industrial, high‑tech, or semiconductor environments
- Ability to interpret I&C drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows‑based software
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customer teams
