Job Purpose

We have an enviable and national client base including The Crown Estate, Aviva, Legal & General and M&G among others.

Depending on the level of your role, you will support the development and progression of the service line and be involved in team development and performance management.

Key accountabilities

Primarily working within the commercial sector undertaking a wide range of building surveying, but not limited to:

1.0        Technical due diligence

2.0        Contract administration  

3.0        Refurbishment and redevelopment projects

4.0        Pre-acquisition surveys

5.0        Dilapidations

6.0        Building Pathology

7.0        General building surveying commercial work in line with a Chartered Building Surveyor role

Experience

1.0        Degree (or equivalent) in Building Surveying & MRICS

2.0        Hands on high quality of technical services

3.0        Strong TDD experience

4.0        Clear, concise and accurate report writing

5.0        Experience of working in a pro-active commercial environment

6.0        Sound knowledge of building contracts in a commercial context

7.0        Proven ability to meet and exceed fee targets and generate new business through building successful client relationships

8.0        Commercially astute

9.0        Embraces technology

10.0      High level of up-to-date technical building knowledge

11.0      Awareness of latest commercial property challenges technically and commercially

Performance

1.0        Must be a good team player and able to work independently

2.0        Commercial awareness and understanding; ability to achieve and exceed financial targets

3.0        Confident and concise communicator both verbally and in writing

4.0        Business focused and willing to be involved in business development and building client relationships

5.0        Thorough understanding of the needs and demands of clients

6.0        Full driving licence and access to a car

7.0        Risk manage through best practice aligned with TFT Risk Management Guidance protocol

8.0        Health and Safety compliant

9.0        Other work as reasonably required to support the business and the delivery of the role
