City of Woodburn is looking for a Recreation Specialist to oversee a variety of recreation activities and assist in the organization and execution of the same. The work schedule is varied. The successful applicant must have a flexible schedule but generally be able to work evenings and weekends as needed. This is a part-time position. The work hours are limited to 19 hours per week.
Minimum one year college education in recreation, education, or related field, and six months of experience in events planning or special programs, preferably working with recreation programs providing lead work to others, or an equivalent combination of training and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Other Requirements:
- Must pass the pre-employment background check
- Valid Oregon class C driver's license and ability to meet the City of Woodburn's driving standards
- Must pass Van Safety test prior to starting in the position
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- Must have Red Cross CPR/first Aid Standard Certification or ability to obtain with 30 days
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
