Planning & Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Planning & Logistics Coordinator to join our team.

In this role, you will support the planning and logistics, production and sales teams by maintaining, collating and analysing data and working practises to identify areas for improvement in service and efficiencies. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders across departments to ensure solutions align with business goals.

Bri-Stor Systems Ltd, part of The HEX Group, are the UK’s largest converter of lightweight commercial vehicles. We are a privately-owned business employing over 250 people and have been operating for over 40 years.

The Role 

Key accountabilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight to both planning and logistics administrative teams, ensuring all daily tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Review and update process routings across various production departments to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with key account managers to develop labour forecasts aligned with projected sales data.
  • Work cross-functionally with business units to gather insights on current practices and identify areas for process improvement.
  • Coordinate the formation of multidisciplinary teams to collaboratively drive operational efficiency improvements
  • Develop clear, precise, and comprehensive process maps to support operational clarity.
  • Organise and lead workshops, engaging stakeholders and the Quality Team to validate and refine process documentation.
  • Lead and manage compound-related projects from initial planning through to execution.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure smooth and consistent vehicle flow across all operational sites.

 

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Proven experience in process mapping, business analysis or process improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio software an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional organisation, communication and interpersonal skills to gain stakeholder engagement and commitment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven experience in a production planning, scheduling or administrative role.
  • Experience in change management or project management.
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports.
  • Experience of writing business cases would be beneficial.
