OBW Technologies specialise in Sales, Service, Installation, Commissioning, Testing & Maintenance of competitive high quality gas detection systems both fixed and portable, field process measurement devices, control instruments and noise monitoring equipment. Our client base are companies predominantly in the life sciences, high tech & utility provision sectors. We have two offices in both Limerick (Head Office) and in Leixlip.
About the Role:
As a Trainee Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced professionals and gain valuable practical skills. Over three months, we will evaluate your performance, and how well you fit within our team. Successful trainee may be offered a full-time Electrical & Instrumentation Apprenticeship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instrumentation Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and repairing instruments used for measuring and controlling process variables.
- Calibration Work: Perform installation, maintenance, and calibration of sensors, measuring instruments, and control systems.
- System Inspection: Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and ensure compliance with regulations and safety codes.
- System Testing: Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety.
- Equipment Installation: Participate in the installation of measurement and control equipment in industries such as pharmaceuticals and others.
- Preventive Maintenance: Support the maintenance of instrumentation equipment to ensure its reliable operation.
What We Are Looking For:
- A keen interest in electrical and instrumentation work.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems or previous related experience (preferred but not essential).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
