Description
City of Woodburn is looking for a Public Works Maintenance Technician with LME to perform a variety of technical tasks relating to the maintenance, operation and repair of the city's water well, storage, water and wastewater treatment plant facilities, lift stations, force mains and related equipment.
Incumbents perform duties such as inspect treatment plant, lift stations, and force mains to determine efficiency of equipment operations; monitor, inspect and repair motors, pumps compressors, gear boxes, motor controls, control panels and related water supply, water storage and water treatment plant mechanical and electrical equipment; maintain preventative maintenance program, instrumentation, water well, work order, inventory, electrical and task order maintenance programs for water wells, water treatment plants, water reservoirs and water distribution system; monitor water and/or wastewater plant operation and analyses and trends through Supervisory Control/Data Acquisition (SCADA) system; schedule and direct maintenance or repair work performed by city workers or outside contractors; and respond to emergency situations involving plant operations and ensure correction as quickly as possible; notify affected customers as required.

Requirements
High School degree or G.E.D. with a minimum of three (3) years of experience as maintenance technician at an industrial facility of comparable size and complexity as City's facilities and plants in water and/or wastewater services, or a combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to the employment standard listed above and that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
- Oregon Limited Maintenance Electrical (LME) license
- Valid Oregon class C driver's license and the ability to meet the City of Woodburn's driving standards
- Must pass the pre-employment background check
- Possess the following training/certifications or ability to obtain and maintain after employment: Forklift, flagger, first aid/CPR
