Description
OBW Technologies Ltd, the leading national provider of portable and fixed gas detection sensors and solutions in Ireland is currently looking to hire an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join their fast-paced, dynamic and growing Engineering Design team. This role will be based from their Limerick office.
Reporting to the Projects/Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will work as part of the Fixed Projects team, helping to ensure we achieve the best results and deliver a consistently high-quality service to a variety of clients companies predominantly in the life sciences, high tech & utility provision sectors. They will be a results driven candidate, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, and have excellent attention to detail and customer focus.
Duties to include:
- Responsible for project design as part of the engineering team.
- Review customer tender documents, develop proposals and system architectures for quotation purposes.
- Attend and lead customer design meetings as part of the project team.
- Support project manager to create project schedule and agreed milestones.
- Produce wiring diagrams and schematics to assist the panel build workshop.
- Development of Cause + Effect Documents, Configuration Documents for Controllers.
- Preparation of RAMS, FAT documents, SAT documents etc.
- Production of Checklists & all related paperwork required for Commissioning Team
- Compile Project Handover documentation - Commissioning & Calibration Certs, As Built drawings and Operating and Maintenance information
- Ability to manage workload of working on multiple projects of varying complexity.
- Ensure all aspects of Health & Safety on site are adhered to by the Commissioning Team.
- Programming of PLCs and Logic Controllers (Training can be provided).
Experience & Qualifications:
- A Third level or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Automation Engineering is preferred, however similar degrees / trade with relevant experience will be considered.
- Must be able to use AutoCad.
- Candidate must have proficiency in a windows-based environment and software (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, excel).
- A good communicator with the ability to work well with others in a multifunctional project team.
- Written and spoken English fluency
- Highly motivated with the ability to work on own initiative.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
