Project Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to lead large-scale construction and lifting operations. You'll work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact projects safely and efficiently 

Responsibilities for a Project Engineer:  

  • Acting as a point of contact for the customer and site operation teams. 
  • Using your expertise to devise smart engineering solutions for heavy lifting and transportation projects. 
  • Conducting site visits and providing conceptual solutions for lifting operations.  
  • Preparing and selecting both existing and renewed engineering statements. 
  • Developing drawings, calculations, visualisations, manuals, risk assessments and other key documents. 
  • Ensuring efficient execution that delivers the right results for the customer with particular focus on safety and quality. 
  • Ensuring high levels of document quality and document control throughout the lifecycle of the project. 
  • Attending site visits to assess customer requirements, along with attendance during operations to manage and motivate the team.

Requirements for a Project Engineer:  

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering related discipline (Masters in the same field desirable)  
  • Experience working on large scale construction projects  
  • Relevant experience in heavy lift transport, shipping or lifting markets with evidence of delivering targets  
  • Experience with road transportation in all configurations 
  • Experience with lifting operations using mobile cranes, tower crane and crawler cranes 
  • Proven experience of direct client interactions as an engineer  
  • Experience with technical codes and standards  
  • Experience with AutoCAD (Math CAD Desirable) & the Microsoft suite  
  • Excellent Communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences  
  • Quality and detail focused with the approach of ‘Right first time’
