Project Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to lead large-scale construction and lifting operations. You'll work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact projects safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities for a Project Engineer:
- Acting as a point of contact for the customer and site operation teams.
- Using your expertise to devise smart engineering solutions for heavy lifting and transportation projects.
- Conducting site visits and providing conceptual solutions for lifting operations.
- Preparing and selecting both existing and renewed engineering statements.
- Developing drawings, calculations, visualisations, manuals, risk assessments and other key documents.
- Ensuring efficient execution that delivers the right results for the customer with particular focus on safety and quality.
- Ensuring high levels of document quality and document control throughout the lifecycle of the project.
- Attending site visits to assess customer requirements, along with attendance during operations to manage and motivate the team.
Requirements for a Project Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering related discipline (Masters in the same field desirable)
- Experience working on large scale construction projects
- Relevant experience in heavy lift transport, shipping or lifting markets with evidence of delivering targets
- Experience with road transportation in all configurations
- Experience with lifting operations using mobile cranes, tower crane and crawler cranes
- Proven experience of direct client interactions as an engineer
- Experience with technical codes and standards
- Experience with AutoCAD (Math CAD Desirable) & the Microsoft suite
- Excellent Communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences
- Quality and detail focused with the approach of ‘Right first time’
