Description

The City of Woodburn is seeking a dedicated Custodial Worker I to join our team in maintaining municipal buildings and park facilities. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of over 230,000 square feet of buildings and 110 acres of grounds.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive custodial duties in municipal buildings and parks
- Clean and sanitize facilities including kitchens, lunchrooms, lavatory facilities, and elevators
- Conduct basic maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and batteries, replacing doorstops, adjusting faucets, and unclogging lavatories
- Restock utility closets and custodial carts
- Remove graffiti
- Work in both closed facilities and public spaces, including during public events

Work Schedule:
- Primary schedule: 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, Monday through Friday
- Flexibility required for alternative schedules and weekend work

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum 1 year experience in custodial work, landscape maintenance, and minor repairs
- Valid Oregon Class C driver's license
- First aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain)

Required Clearances:
- Pass pre-employment background check
- Obtain Criminal Justice Information System clearance
- Obtain Law Enforcement Data System certification within 3 months of hire
