Description

The Role:

As Packaging Coordinator you will be responsible for ensuring that Deli Lites Production department has access to the correct packaging to support the department goals of manufacturing products on time, in full and to specification whilst maintaining standards in H&S and GMP.

The Packaging Coordinator works closely with other departments including Technical, NPD, Procurement and Sales Orders to provide a holistic service to our internal and external customers.

Member of the Operations Team, reporting into the Senior Production Manager, based at Warrenpoint, Newry, Northern Ireland.

Your Duties:

  • Putting Staff Welfare and Food Safety first in all decisions.
  • Allocation of primary packaging and labels to high care production lines.
  • Removal of excess packaging after production runs to the high care packaging store.
  • Full responsibility for the high care packaging store to include hygiene, correct storage locations, identification of packaging, packaging being covered and access control to the area.
  • Avoiding any chances of packaging becoming mixed up.
  • Traceability and mass balancing of packaging items.
  • Stock rotation of high care packaging.
  • Stock takes of high care packaging.
  • Removal of any obsolete or delisted packaging.
  • Management of the introduction of new or modified packaging to avoid mix ups.
  • Ensure correct packaging in use for new launches.
  • Review of specifications to ensure packaging is correct.
  • Contribute to the culture team and help to create an environment where we retain our teams and nurture them to be the best versions of themselves at work.
  • Support projects to meet site Sustainability Targets

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent reading and writing skills in English.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

KPIs – Targets to be reviewed Annually.

  • Zero packaging mix ups.
  • Stock takes completed on time
  • Zero downtime linked to waiting for packaging.
