Description
City of Woodburn has a new role of IT Assistant Manager to organize, and manage IT projects; providing support and guidance on troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues; and suggesting changes or improvements for all City IT systems; supervise and support IT staff, coordinate training, and help develop policies and procedures. The Information Technology department provides support for the City’s MAN (metropolitan area network), servers, hardware, software, e-mail system, phone system, camera system, Geographic Information System , and website. The primary goal of the IT Department is to provide excellent technology services to both the City staff and the public. The IT department also provides IT support services, via intergovernmental agreements, to METCOM 911, City of Silverton, City of Mt. Angel, City of Gervais, Woodburn Fire District, Aurora Fire District, and Mt. Angel Fire District.
Associate's degree in information technology, and at least three (3) years’ experience troubleshooting software and hardware issues, and at least one (1) year experience in supervising or leading staff including training experience. Must have a valid Oregon class C driver's license and the ability to meet the City of Woodburn’s driving standards; must pass the pre-employment background check; and must pass the CJIS/LEDS background and fingerprint check.
Ability to successfully supervise staff based on measurable goals and outcomes; work independently and as a team player; diagnose and resolve problems with software applications independently; knowledgeable on current computer, mobile devices, and telecommunications systems, hardware, software, and related technology, including virtualization and cloud connectivity and technical aspects of field specialty, such as servers, workstations, networks, wireless, and Windows servers are some of the knowledge and skills that would be required of the successful candidate.
