About Magnetic & the Newton Group
Magnetic is the UK’s leading innovation and digital design studio. We work alongside startups, governments and organisations in the UK and internationally to create products, services and strategies, enabling transformation and growth. Our purpose is to design better futures, and we do this by helping people and businesses innovate. Over the last ten years our partners have included Waitrose, Essex and Dorset Councils, Bupa, Mars Wrigley, Innovate UK, Google, Fulham Football Club and Save The Children.
In 2024, Magnetic was acquired by the Newton Group, which now includes three businesses. Alongside Magnetic, Xantura uses AI and analytics to help public services better support residents and communities. The third and largest organisation in the group is Newton Europe—a UK-based consultancy with 600 employees. Newton Europe partners with organisations across healthcare, government, retail, defence, and infrastructure, focusing on turning strategic goals into real-world outcomes. Often working behind the scenes, they play a key role in large-scale, multimillion-pound change and transformation programmes. All three businesses in the Newton Group share a commitment to delivering real impact and value.
Most Magnetic Designers share a common base of skills. They include visual design, Design Thinking, prototyping and the drive to make things happen. More senior people within the organisation bring skills around leadership, coaching, business development, and client empathy.
