Payroll Administrator - Part Time, Temporary
The Company
The HEX Group consists of Bri-Stor Systems Ltd, Alpha Manufacturing Ltd & Atlas Coatings Ltd and we are based in Hixon, Staffordshire. We are a privately owned business employing over 500 people across the group, making us one of the largest employers in the region.
We are looking for a part time Payroll Administrator to support the People & Culture Team on a temporary basis.
The Role
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure hours are logged accurately in the HR system.
- Log clocking queries in the Smartsheet and update the system with any changes.
- Liaise with line managers on queries.
- Run clocking reports from the system.
- Calculate weekly hours and enter them into the payroll spreadsheets.
- Ensure overtime is calculated and recorded correctly.
- Ensure absence and holiday is recorded correctly.
- Ensure that the spreadsheets are complete and ready for processing in a timely manner for the monthly payroll.
- Work closely with the People & Culture Officer to advise on any issues.
The Person
Skills and Experience:
- Experience working in a payroll role.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Competent in the use of Excel.
- Experiecne using a HRIS and payroll system.
- Ability to interrogate data and ask the relevant questions.
- Excellent communication skills.

- Hours of work are negotiable- between 20 and 24 hours split over a minimum of 3 days. Must be able to work Mondays and Tuesdays but times can be flexible.
