Description

The City of Woodburn is seeking a skilled IT Systems Administrator to join our team. This role is crucial in coordinating and participating in the administration of the City's IT, network, and phone systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support and maintain critical departmental computer systems, programs, and applications
• Implement complex software applications and manage system administration activities
• Manage user accounts, system security, and respond to security or usability concerns
• Administer infrastructure including firewalls, databases, and malware protection
• Maintain multiple domain controllers, servers, network hardware, and PCs across City facilities
• Configure and troubleshoot voice mail and phone issues
• Develop documentation and maintain software licenses and inventory

Qualifications:
• AA degree in Information Technology or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years' experience in programming and technical support for PCs and networks
• Valid Oregon Class C driver's license
• Ability to obtain Criminal Justice Information System clearance and Law Enforcement Data System certification

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science or related field

• MCP, MCSE, CompTIA Network+, CCNA 

• Proficiency in: Windows Server; cloud platforms (AWS, Entra); networking protocols; and virtualization technologies

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of enterprise system security, Microsoft operating systems, and the ability to configure and maintain various hardware and software systems. They should also possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with end-users and vendors.
