Description
Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of complex, technically advanced automation projects from initial client contact through to design, manufacture, validation, and final Site Acceptance Testing. This is a customer-facing role requiring excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. You will lead cross-functional teams and be responsible for project delivery to both domestic and international clients.
Key Responsibilities:
· Report directly to the Department Manager and take ownership of project delivery, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, fostering strong relationships and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
· Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional project teams and stakeholders.
· Define project objectives, develop execution plans, and monitor performance to ensure alignment with business goals.
· Conduct project risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies.
· Monitor key performance indicators, including labour hours and material costs, to drive project efficiency.
· Manage the allocation of internal and external resources across multiple projects.
· Identify and resolve project issues promptly to maintain momentum and ensure customer satisfaction.
· Lead and contribute to business-critical initiatives, such as 5S implementation and project management tool rollouts.
· Prioritise and manage competing tasks effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
· Domestic and international travel will be required to support project execution.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Business (required).
· Formal project management certification is an advantage.
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in a project management or project engineering role, preferably in the automation, manufacturing, or related technical industries.
· Experience working in a regulated environment is a plus.

· Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to build rapport and communicate clearly with clients and team members.
· High attention to detail with strong administrative and documentation skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software (MS Project or similar).
