City of Woodburn Public Library is looking for a Library Assistant to perform a variety of routine paraprofessional and clericalduties in the library, including helping the library's youngest users find books and other materials, select games, and usecomputers. Library assistants in youth services also assist with the development and implementation of story times, crafts,and other programs for children, and they help to maintain order in the room and work at the circulation desk.

LibraryAssistants may work at the Woodburn Museum where they will perform paraprofessional and clerical duties, as well as assist users and work with volunteers.

The schedule is not to exceed 19 hours per week, with some flexibility in hours. 

High school degree or G.E.D., and one (1) year of work experience involving face-to-face public contact and general officeexperience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential dutiesof the job. Library experience and bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Russian preferred.
