Technical Services Engineer
Location: Guernsey or Southampton
Reporting to: Technical Services Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Services Engineer to support our fleet operations and ensure continued compliance with UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulatory requirements.
This is a key role within our Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO), providing technical expertise, supporting maintenance activities, and contributing to the ongoing safety, reliability, and performance of the fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP) performance through reliability reporting and data analysis
- Prepare and issue engineering orders, work cards, instructions, and procedures in compliance with approved maintenance data
- Provide technical support to the Part 145 Maintenance Organisation
- Participate in work scope and work package preparation in coordination with Planning
- Assess Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs), including cost evaluation and compliance monitoring
- Monitor and manage non-mandatory modifications and repairs
- Oversee damage assessments, repair tracking, and maintenance of damage charts and records
- Conduct technical investigations into safety and occurrence reports
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, aircraft manufacturers, and component OEM/TCHs
- Support the development of CAMO policies, procedures, and technical instructions
- Monitor aircraft reliability and produce reports, including analysis of base maintenance findings and defects
- Evaluate and support the ongoing effectiveness of approved maintenance programmes
- Contribute to additional projects and tasks as required
Essential Requirements
- Degree in Aircraft or Aeronautical Engineering (or equivalent), or a Part 66 Licence
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a similar technical services or CAMO role
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Ability to identify, assess, and resolve challenges efficiently
Training & Regulatory Requirements
- Regulatory training: Part M (Part CAMO), Part 145, Safety Management Systems (SMS) (provided)
- Mandatory training: Human Factors, EWIS, ETOPS, FTS (provided)
