About the Role
You will be working as a Support Worker at our 7 bed children's residential home, situated in a residential area in Sedgley. The home is easily accessible via public transport from Wolverhampton. You will be providing care and support for children and young people up to the age of 18 with learning disabilities, Autism, ADHD and associated behavioural challenges, children accommodated at the home may also present with sensory impairments and minor physical disabilities. Our children and young people may have experienced trauma and/or neglect prior to coming into care. This role requires a high amount of energy, passion and willingness to go “above and beyond” for the young people we care for.
Our home is rated “Good” with Ofsted and prides itself on working with families and professionals, to provide opportunities for learning, increasing independence and more importantly FUN. You will be supporting the children both at the home and in the community.

Shift Details:
- You will be covering 12 hr Wake Nights 9pm - 9am
- Includes alternate weekend shifts
Responsibilities:
- Provide a caring, consistent home environment for each young person
- Checking the children regularly throughout the night and responding to their needs
- In addition you will be undertaking cleaning and laundry duties.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience supporting children with moderate to severe learning disabilities, physical disabilities, Autism, ADHD, complex needs and related behavioural challenges.
- Hold or be willing to work towards Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare or Level 3 Diploma for Children and Young People’s Workforce.
