About Corbenic

Since 1978, Corbenic Camphill Community has been home to adults with social, emotional, intellectual, and learning disabilities. Located in beautiful countryside near Dunkeld, Perthshire, Corbenic provides residential and day care within a warm, inclusive community inspired by the Camphill ethos.

Our Shop & Café is an important part of community life - open to the public and showcasing the talents of our residents. We sell handmade crafts, baked goods, and produce made within Corbenic’s workshops, as well as offering a welcoming café space serving light lunches, hot drinks, and home baking. The shop and café are not only vital community hubs but also meaningful work environments where residents can develop confidence, skills, and independence in a supportive setting.

The Role

We’re looking for a Shop & Café Support Worker to join our dedicated team. This is a hands-on, people-focused role supporting residents as they work in our community shop and café — serving customers, preparing simple food and drinks, and maintaining a welcoming, inclusive environment.

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week), worked flexibly across Monday to Sunday, on a fixed-term contract for 6 months with the possibility of extension.

You’ll assist the Shop & Café Supervisor with the daily running of the shop and café, ensuring high standards of customer service, food hygiene, and person-centred care for residents who take part in the workshop.

  • Maintain cleanliness and food hygiene standards across all areas.

  • Support residents in developing life and work skills in a safe, nurturing environment.

  • Participate in team meetings, training, and community events.
