CNC Router Operative

Alpha Manufacturing, part of The HEX Group, is a privately-owned business fabricating sheet metal in the UK. Alpha designs and produces both sheet metal work components and assemblies. Established in 1989, the company now employs over 100 people. Utilising industry leading technology, Alpha Manufacturing have facilities to design, prototype and manufacture a diverse range of products all in their purpose-built sheet metal fabrication factory in the heart of Staffordshire.

Having experienced significant growth and success over the last few years, we are looking to strengthen our team with the recruitment of an experienced CNC Router Operative. A large part of our business involves the creation of bespoke products using our AXYZ CNC flatbed routers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating CNC Router
  • Cutting various products up to 20mm thick
  • Ability to program is essential
  • Maintaining all health and safety standards
  • Producing daily production schedules
  • Making cut plans
  • Machining Polypropylene and wooden sheets
  • Ensure stock levels are sufficiently maintained

The Candidate

  • Previous CNC machine knowledge essential
  • Flexible and able to adapt as required
  • Excellent organisational skills and time keeping
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team to achieve objectives
  • Knowledge of AXYZ routers and V-Carve Pro would be highly advantageous
  • Ability to mullti task
  • Desire to learn and help with new projects

Package

The successful candidate will be entitled to:

  • Pay range £14.30 - £18.90 p/hr
  • Monday - Thursday 18.00pm - 06.00am
