Description

City of Woodburn has a newly developed position for a Risk and Safety Coordinator. Reporting to the City Recorder who serves as the Risk Manager, the incumbent will perform citywide technical and professional work in City’s comprehensive risk management program designed to protect the City from exposure to risk that could have adverse consequences to operations, employee safety, financial position, or community relations. Span of responsibility covers all department non-benefit risk management and loss prevention and control programs, including environmental protections, occupational health and safety, and/or other related loss prevention and control functions.

Four-year degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field and five (5) years increasingly responsible professional level risk management and loss control program experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Must pass the pre-employment background check; must be able to obtain and maintain during employment: Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS) certification and Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) clearance; have a valid Oregon class C driver's license and ability to meet the City of Woodburn's driving standards. Bilingual in English/Spanish; PRIMA Risk Manager certificate and  OR-OSHA training preferred.
