Compound Logistics Operative

Bri-Stor Systems is a market leader in light commercial vehicle conversions and currently convert over 8000 vehicles a year for a number of customers. Reporting to the logistics team leader you will help manage the day to day delivery and storage of incoming and outgoing vehicles, liaising with internal customers, contractors, external customers and drivers to ensure vehicles are in the right place at the right time, whatever the weather.

We are looking to recruit a Compound Logistics Operative to join our dedicated team who deliver excellent service to our internal and external customers alike.

Key Responsibilities

•  Conduct inbound vehicle inspections and accurately record any missing items or damage.
• Fuel and charge vehicles accordingly, ensuring the vehicle is in an efficiently fuelled state in prepared for conversion and contractor works and at time of despatch.
• Move vehicles and park in location ensuring space is maximised and the vehicle is parked with care.
• Liaise with drivers and customers to manage the vehicle delivery and collection process efficiently and professionally.
• Complete booking in and out duties with accuracy within the vehicle management system.
• Liaise with contractors to ensure vehicles are accessible and driven into location if required for contractor works.
• Complete off site vehicle movements as required to assist in managing the capacity of the compound.
• Provide cover to the wider team where necessary including learning key office duties.
• Monitor the vehicle tracking system to ensure Bri-Stor employees can easily locate vehicles on the Compound at all times.
• Ensure all keys are stored securely and signed in and out correctly.
• Move vehicles to re-organise the compound when necessary to maximise space and ensure vehicles are parked carefully to avoid potential damage.
• Valet vehicles ready for collection.
• Keep the logistics team leader informed of damage, stock shortages and other vehicle related issues
• Conduct vehicle damage reports where necessary.
• Ensure the compound handover tent and storage areas are kept clean and tidy.

Suitable applicants will ideally possess the following:

• Experience of working in a fast paced environment.
• Confident driving skills.
• Professional and effective communication skills.
• Good organisation skills.
• Attention to detail.
• A passion for delivering excellent service.
• A Category C or above driving license would be advantageous.
